Uninstall NVidia Platform Controllers and Framework

Post by Rupurudu »

While uninstalling and reinstalling graphics drivers, I noticed DDU does not remove the NVidia Platform Controllers and Framework driver. I had to remove it manually.

I believe DDUing NVidia drivers should also remove this driver. (ACPI\NVDA0820\NPCF)

Thanks, I'll have a look, what card exactly you have ?

Can you give me more information about it ? a screenshot of it's hardwareid or device instance path.
I would appreciate a screenshot too of this device in your device manager while the device manager view is "Devices by connection"
This will help a lot !

Edit: I already have coded a potential fix for this, your screenshot would be more to confirm what I did.

It's a HP Laptop with RTX 3050 Mobile. Exact model is "HP Victus 16-e0008nt (4H0S0EA)"

I have a working candidate here. Are you willing to test it to see if it work ? No pressure here.
Let me know if you want to try this version.

Edit: Officially released the fix with 18.0.7.2, would appreciate if you can confirm on your side.

It works! Release 18.0.7.2 removes the NVidia PCF driver. Thank you. :)
